Aidan has lost both of his front teeth. In addition to looking pretty weird, he now has trouble saying his esses. I hope he doesn't get teased too much at school.
Nikki is still suffering from her stomach illness. She's missed two days of school. She is going back today but she is still not well.
And I still love my new car.

KC Royals 0-1
The Royals lost their home opener against the Detroit Tigers to a sellout crowd of over 40,000 yesterday afternoon. Greinke pitched six excellent innings (ERA of 1.50) and left the game with the Royals leading 4-2. However, the Tigers scored six runs in a disastrous seventh inning where the Royals used three bullpen pitchers. Colon gave up 2 runs, Tejeda gave up 3 runs (ERA = 81!), and Cruz gave up a run.
The game was over after that. Royals lost 4-8. The only bright side was that Farnsworth pitched a scoreless inning.

Easter weekend
The antibiotics kicked in, and I could swallow without pain. Saturday looked awesome, but it was quite windy at Aidan's soccer game. Dragonfire list 0-9, but Aidan played very well. He amazed me with some of his tenacity at going for the ball and he plays very smartly as well. He was one of two to get a medal afterward.
We had dinner that night at Spin. Nikki and I split the chicken and goat cheese pizza. Then we put the kids to bed and got the Easter stuff ready.
The next morning was Easter. I got up early and hid the eggs in the backyard. Luke and Aidan had fun grabbing the eggs and putting them in their "baskets."
The Royals had an open house since the season starts today. We went for the Easter egg hunt. The limit was 5 eggs per child. Luke got his 5 but Aidan only got 1. Aidan's was a prize egg so he got a hat.
We then had dinner at Pat & Bob's. The ham was good. The brisket was so-so. And, of course, Pat made her salad. Then home, kids to bed, clean up the house, and good night.

Strep throat
Okay, so I don't have the flu. I have strep throat. I broke down and went to the doctor Friday morning and it took him five seconds to confirm it. I thought it might be this when I realized I hadn't been coughing all week but my throat hurt like hell.
So I got an antibiotic and started taking it Friday. I feel much better today. Got up at 7AM and made breakfast for the family. I seem to be getting a head cold but that is something I can deal with.
Aidan has a soccer game at 2PM. Looks like it's going to be a beautiful day!

Stupid flu
So I have the flu, and it's pretty bad. I stayed home Monday with a sore throat and aches. Then took a bunch of medicine and went to work on Tuesday. I went to work on Wednesday too but then left around 11:30, feeling terrible. I got into bed and stayed there all day, not eating. I was too sick to even read!
My temp was 102 degrees when Nikki checked. This morning, it was around 100. Don't know if this is H1N1 but it is definitely something bad because I am usually only sick for a day when I come down with something.
Looks like we won't be going to Miller this weekend for Alex's birthday either. Can't risk it. We'll have to plan on going down soon though since we bought all that stuff to take with us.
